Rocklin, CA Home Office Workstation with Murphy Bed

We had a customer in Rocklin California who needed a multi-use room. The room that they wanted re-done was just inside the entry of the home. It was previously being utilized as a home office and catch all storage room. Although it was currently in use, it just wasn’t as useful as they were hoping. They wanted it to be more functional and of better use.

Our customer wanted:

  • A place for her computer
  • A work space
  • Multi-purpose storage
  • File and office supply storage
  • A place where the grandkids could watch TV and play video games
  • An additional guest bed available when company came

We were able to meet all of her needs with this custom designed and built home office and wall bed system. The unit was designed in our deluxe rustic cherry with our rouge square door and drawer fronts. It has adjustable shelving as is standard with all of our home organization systems. Another great feature in our home office systems?is cord hiding and the grommets we install for cord feeding. You don’t have to worry about outlets being covered by the system as we will always design our units so that they will still be accessible. We also install grommets, which are basically lined holes, where you can feed cords through.

We installed a queen sized murphy bed between the two windows, the wall bed when up on the wall is only 16 inches deep, so it doesn’t take up much of the space in the room at all. Then on the other wall, we installed drawers and cabinetry, we designed a space for a flat screen TV, along with cubbies and shelves, and a radius shelf on the edge for a nice soft look and place to display photos or knick-knacks. We also put in a home office workstation for the computer, and lots of storage for various items in the form of large drawers, file drawers, and cabinets.
